SchlumbergerSema Develops Complete, Dedicated Platform for T-Mobile 3G Network Services

Provides Cards, Tools, Applications, Training, Support, Consulting and Integration Services for Secure Delivery of Value-added M-commerce Services
 

Paris, August 29, 2002 - SchlumbergerSema, a business unit of Schlumberger Limited (NYSE:SLB), today announced the initial roll-out of a dedicated next generation UICC (Universal Integrated Circuit Card) smart card platform for 3G UMTS networks, which has been developed in partnership with Germany's largest mobile network operator, T-Mobile Deutschland, a subsidiary of multinational telecom service provider Deutsche Telekom. SchlumbergerSema is delivering the complete solution - including cards, software development tools, specific applications, training, technical support, consulting and integration services - to support T-Mobile's roll-out of innovative 3G services.
