We
demonstrate how Gemalto Coesys eGovernment solutions offer to citizens, instant
connectivity to government eServices.
The core technology at work in the eID card we will use, Gemalto’s SConnect
smart card neutral connectivity, won the 2007 Sesame Award for software at the
Cartes & Identification trade show.
While enabling classical smart card applications such as strong authentication,
secure credential storage and access, and digital signatures,
SConnect paves the way for emerging digital identity applications that are
served over the Web.
It offers enhanced security by enabling an end-to-end transport of user-credentials
and attributes.
By cutting out the need for client middleware, this represents a paradigm shift
in smart card-based service delivery over the web.
