About Gemalto and Microsoft

Microsoft and Gemalto partner to offer strong corporate security solutions. In this year’s Cebit, Gemalto’s .Net Bio, Instant Badge Issuance (IBI) and Allynis Device Administration Services (DAS) will be showcased together with Microsoft’s Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) and Intelligent Access Gateway (IAG) solutions.

Gemalto will be on Microsoft’s booth (Hall 4 A 26) and we look forward to seeing you there.

Gemalto’s solutions

>.NET bio – a smartcard-based biometric strong authentication solution

A smart card solution enabling the use of both/either PIN code and fingerprints-based authentication to allow access to PKI credentials. It is designed with evolution in mind to enable future use of any type of biometrics-based authentication with minimum investment. The development is based on the latest Gemalto .NET smart card technology designed to be easily deployed and fully compatible with Microsoft infrastructure and operating systems. The solution has the advantage of adding fingerprint recognition to the usual PKI smart card functionality, which in turn, increases security and enhances end-user experience by avoiding enforced regular change of passwords.
