Commitments Brazil

On September 13, 2006, CADE cleared the Axalto and Gemplus combination with specific undertakings, which were included in a Performance Commitment signed by Gemalto and CADE on October 25, 2006. Gemalto committed for a period of 10 years to grant licenses for its patents registered in Brazil to companies which are part of the Brazilian market for SIM cards (or have the bona fide intention to enter this market).
