The winner will be announced on 30 January and invited to make a presentation on Wednesday 13th February during the event.

About the Allynis Mobile NFC Trusted Service Manager:

Services based on NFC are still in their infancy with a few trials underway. Even in this pilot phase, security requirements are high as we are talking about banking applications over the phone. This is why Gemalto has set up an innovative, secure infrastructure for application download and OTA banking personalization. We host the delivery platforms in our secure centers and accompany the ramp-up of the service from a few thousand to ultimately million of users.

To get the best return on investment, MNOs need to partner with a maximum number of service providers. Our flexible and open architecture makes the introduction of new partners easy.

"The 2008 Global Mobile Awards have once again attracted a widely diverse range of entries from all corners of the world, demonstrating the social, business and economic impact that mobile communications is having on society. I congratulate the nominees on their achievement thus far, being shortlisted by our independent judging panel is no mean feat given the calibre of subject matter experts it comprises, and the quality and quantity of submissions received. We await the winners at the Mobile World Congress with keen interest," said Rob Conway, GSMA CEO.
