Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Feb 17, 2009 - Gemalto, the world leader in digital security, today announced the selection of its SIM-based solution for Mobile TV audience monitoring by Médiametrie, the French audience measurement company. The solution offers a handset-independent approach to audience measurement, in which the SIM becomes a user feedback mechanism measuring the success of certain programs or channels, identifying mobile TV “prime times” and helping actors within the mobile TV chain maximize advertising revenues.
