Gemplus announces the third edition of the Gemplus Developer Conference June 20th and 21st 2001 in Paris
Organized at CNIT - La Défense, this event is the only developers' conference in the world focused exclusively on smart card technology. It will be followed by a day of workshop on June 19th.
Luxemburg, May 9, 2001 - Reuniting for the third consecutive year the panel of expert speakers of the smart card , the "GDC" has an objective of exchanging information, sharing experiences, discovering technical methods, and familiarizing to development tools.
Among the speakers, there will be developers, technical consultants, enterprise researchers for such companies as SUN Microsystems, Mondex International, Philips Semi Conductors, RSA Security, Precise Biometrics… as well as a number of renowned international universities.
For this edition of 2001, the participants will also have the occasion to attend the <> which will allow them to have a hands-on experience of development tools for the smart card based solutions. Gemplus developers will provide training and technical support on the lap-top of each participant.
Last year, this conference brought a great success with 500 international participants, coming from 54 different countries across the globe.
Themes Covered at the GDC 2001:
Open OS and Multi-applicative: discover the tools of Java development and of their inter-operability
Mobile services: update of available technologies for the applications development for SIM cards: SIM Toolkit, Over The Air Technology.
E-services: familiarization with the applications to get the best use of the smart card in the security: PKI, cryptography, payment security.
