SingTel Mobile Selects SLP InfoWare's Predictive CRM Solution to Reduce Churn and Maximize Customer Retention

Singapore's incumbent operator adopts SLP InfoWare's Predictive CRM solution to identify at-Risk customers and run proactive marketing campaigns.
Paris, April 16, 2001 - SLP InfoWare, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Gemplus (GEMP) and a global leader in customer relationship management solutions, today announced SingTel that Mobile has selected its Predictive CRM solution to launch proactive campaigns to reduce customer churn.

"Using the Predictive CRM solution from SLP InfoWare, SingTel Mobile can anticipate the needs of our customers and proactively control churn, " said Timothy Goh, CRM Director, Consumer Business SingTel. "With the help of SLP InfoWare's Predictive CRM solution, we are 20% reactive and 80% proactive."

With over 50% share in a market with a 70% penetration rate, SingTel Mobile's aggressive and proactive approach to reducing churn and retaining customers means that even modest gains in customer retention could become a leading source of new revenue for the company.

"SLP InfoWare is pleased to have been selected by SingTel Mobile - a leading tier one operator in Asia," said Jean Schmitt, CEO of SLP InfoWare. "The fact that SLP InfoWare's first customer in Asia is also the most highly acclaimed mobile provider in the region emphasizes the importance of Predictive CRM to the competitive business strategy of communications companies across the globe."

SingTel Mobile has purchased SLP InfoWare's Churn/CPSTM, an automated and scalable customer retention software application that provides SingTel Mobile with the ability to proactively identify customers that are likely to churn and approach them with targeted offers that meet business objectives. Churn/CPS resides above SLP InfoWare's Customer Profiling System (CPS) Platform, which provides a core set of automated statistical, segmentation and profiling functions as well as fundamental business logic. SLP InfoWare's CPS Platform transforms subscriber data into actionable predictive knowledge and creates high ROI, optimized, one-to-one campaigns.

SLP InfoWare collaborated with Hewlett Packard on the implementation of the systems purchased by SingTel Mobile, successfully completing the project within five months. Over the course of the project SLP InfoWare's products were integrated with Valex / Exchange Apps. and will ultimately integrate with Siebel's eCommunications providing real-time scoring of profiles and identification of optimized offers.

Currently running on SingTel Mobile's network, SLP InfoWare's Predictive CRM solution generates predictive models that target customers who are at risk of churn and then interfaces with Siebel's eCommunications to support outbound campaigns to SingTel Mobile's postpaid subscribers. As SingTel Mobile seeks to be even more proactive, SLP InfoWare can provide the ability to target cross sell and up sell offers and be integrated in to e-channels and call centers to support inbound campaigns.
