Liberty Alliance Project to Develop and Deploy Open, Federated Solutions for Network Identity Smart card industry leader joins top technology innovators from around the world to bring an open and improved network identity solution to smart card users

Identity refers to the basic information, whether of a consumer, an employee, a business, a supplier, even a machine or device, which is stored and accessed digitally. This might include name, address, phone numbers, work and home email, credit cards, club memberships, social security number, health records, banking records or part numbers. As the leading provider of smart card-based solutions, Gemplus’ participation in the Liberty Alliance Project is in line with its focus on secure solutions for its customers in an open, standards-based environment.
