Ivoiris Turns to SLP InfoWare’s Predictive CRM Solution to Maximize Customer Retention France Telecom’s subsidiary in Ivory Coast deploys P-CRM software to predict multiple customer behaviors and optimize marketing campaigns

Paris 6 June 2001 – SLP InfoWare announced today that Ivoiris, France Telecom’s mobile-phone subsidiary in Ivory Coast, has selected and implemented SLP InfoWare's predictive customer relationship management (P-CRM) software to decrease churn and bad debt in its prepaid and postpaid subscriber base and to increase revenues from optimized marketing campaigns.

With 240,000 mobile subscribers and 48 percent market share in Ivory Coast, Ivoiris is leading the way in one of the fastest growing cellular markets in Africa. According to forecasts, Ivory Coast will reach 1.7 million subscribers by 2005 and have a 10 percent penetration rate. Ivoiris has begun the implementation of the complete P-CRM solution from SLP InfoWare to help maintain its leadership and increase revenue growth through more successful subscriber acquisition and retention.

“With SLP InfoWare’s P-CRM solution, Ivoiris is able to address two core business issues: churn and bad debt,” said Valerie Tiacoh, director of marketing. “SLP’s predictive platform helps us proactively identify at-risk customers and act efficiently and cost effectively with targeted optimized marketing campaigns.”

Ivoiris adopted SLP InfoWare’s solution after SLP successfully demonstrated its software could identify at-risk customers and measure ROI. Although Ivoiris did not have a data warehouse infrastructure or a CRM system in place, SLP InfoWare’s team integrated its P-CRM solution into Ivoiris’ business model in a trial deployment. The trial’s immediate success prompted Ivoiris to implement SLP InfoWare’s software solutions.

SLP InfoWare’s Churn/CPSTM is used to address churn in Ivoiris’ prepaid customer base. Churn/CPSTM enables Ivoiris to leverage its traffic data and identify behaviors associated with non-renewal, allowing the company to act proactively to retain customers before their accounts expire providing them with incentives to repurchase prepaid service.

To mitigate revenues lost from bad debt in its postpaid market, Ivoiris is using SLP’s software to identify subscribers who present a debt risk and target them proactively. This enables Ivoiris’ financial and marketing teams to take proactive action through targeted one-to-one collection campaigns that increase the likelihood for any particular customer to pay their bills, stabilizing revenue stream and reducing collections costs.

"Ivoiris is another excellent example of how a complete P-CRM software solution can help telcos not only reduce churn or debt risk problems, but also increase the value of the marketing campaigns through automation and real-time optimization," said Vincent Ramus, vice president of EMEA for SLP InfoWare. "Ivoiris will be able to score individual subscribers for multiple behaviors and successfully retain them with the optimized 1-to-1offers. Creating, distributing, and leveraging predictive knowledge within the same P-CRM loop will become the main advantage Ivoiris will use in maximizing customer loyalty and revenue.”
