Gemplus Completes the Integration of SLP InfoWare
Predictive Customer Relationship Management Solutions
Becomes An Integral Part of Gemplus' Strategy
Luxembourg, 1 July 2002 - Gemplus International S.A (Euronext:
Sicovam 5768 and NASDAQ: GEMP), the world's leading provider of smart
card-enabled solutions today announces the integration of SLP InfoWare,
a leading provider of predictive customer relationship management (P-CRM)
solutions for the telecommunications industry. SLP InfoWare has been a
Gemplus company since October 2000 and the completion of the integration
adds further value to both company's customer bases.
The integration will leverage Gemplus' strategy to be the leading provider
of applications and services enabled by smart cards in the telecom market.
The combined human resources and technological synergies will enable Gemplus
to pursue its aim of helping operators increase their ARPU (Average Revenue
Per User) through churn cost reduction, and more effective customer management.
The Gemplus P-CRM Solution, Powered by SLP InfoWare
The software takes the information that clients gather about their customers
and transforms it into predictive knowledge, which can be leveraged through
optimised and personalised customer interaction across many channels.
