Ezio Classic reader is a handheld device designed to securely authenticate cardholders for remote banking, e-commerce. The reader's main role is to prevent the user to type his/her PIN code on the workstation keyboard, which is considered a vulnerable environment.

Optimum Security

  • One-Time-Passwords (OTP):OTP is a unique and non reusable numeric password to authenticate both the smart card and its owner. This two-factor authentication is the best alternative to static password schemes or token devices in terms of security, user acceptance and cost-effectiveness.
  • After inserting the banking card into the device and entering the PIN code an OTP is generated and displyed by the reader.
