Highlight New release of Developer Suite / Simulation Suite is now available! The Developer Suite 3.4.2 / Simulation Suite 2.4.2 is now released and downloadable from Gemalto Developer Network. In this version, we integrated Universal Tracer which will allow you to trace the communication happen in card simulators, PC/SC card readers, as well as the communication between handset and card. Card Auto Detection feature is also included to ease the appropriate card type and card profile selection when you work with real card on Java Card Project as well as Application Manager. Extended from Developer Suite 3.2.0063, this version also supports features related to NFC and SCWS. Application preview pane is provided in Mobile Simulator 3G to allow you to preview the SCWS pages designed on different window display size. In line with LTE, Mobile Simulator 3G is enhanced to support HTTP(s) communications. You will be able to connect the mobile simulator to a real server and perform the end to end communication test with real card. IMEI SV and more qualifiers are now supported for Provide Local Information and Refresh commnds. On top of all, support of USB-IC reader for ICCD is provided to allow you to work with USB-IC readers in market.

Developer eases Wireless Solutions development for the Java developers, managing such development directly in a familiar environment: the Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Hence, the developer will smoothly understand the Java Card specificities.

Dedicated Java Card wizards enable easy project creation and Wireless Applications code generation. These Rapid Application Development Wizards are designed with valid default values (always click on 'next' button) to quickly create an operational standard application in a real smart card.

This significantly decreases the developer learning curve and the total development time!

Developer comes with an end-to-end Simulation Suite:

• Card Simulators for SIM Cards, USIM Cards, R-UIM Cards and NFC Cards
• Mobile Simulators for 2G, 3G and CDMA
• Server Simulator

This end-to-end Simulation Suite combined with the features of the IDE provides One Click Debugging of your Wireless Applications! Your Applet will be 100% functional when you download it on a real card.

Deploy

Using the Application Manager available with the Developer, you may easily download your Applets in a real card and then test it either with our end-to-end simulation environment or with a real Mobile and the real Network.

Gemalto Developer Suite is available in three different kits:

• Free Evaluation Kit - Downloadable for FREE from Gemalto Developer Network. The Evaluation Kit is a good starting point to understand what is the Gemalto Developer and to get a good understanding of what it means to develop Wireless Applications. 20 days evaluation duration granted.

• Full Kit - 2 years license - Once you feel comfortable with the Evaluation version, you will probably want to register your tool for 2 years license.

• Enterprise Kit - Enterprise Users have access to all the features of the Full Kit. With the Enterprise Kit, the user will receive a professional box with the Software on a CD, a Card Reader and sample Cards. Enterprise Users will also be granted with 2-years license. Purchase can be done through Gemalto Web Store.

Remarks:
- Users of the Full Kit may buy a Card Reader separately on the Gemalto Web Store.
- Pricing for the License renewal is the same for the Full Kit and the Enterprise Kit. Only the License is renewed, no Card reader or card samples are sent to the End User.

Activation Procedure

Full Kit

First, the External User will have to download the Developer Suite from Gemalto Developer Network

Then, she will have to go on the Gemalto Web Store in the 'Kits & Software' section to buy a 2 Years License. Once the transaction has been confirmed, an invoice will be sent to the End User and Gemalto will contact the End User to help him with the License Activation Process.

Enterprise Kit

The User may also buy a Developer Suite Enterprise Kit, a box containing the software on a CD as well as a Card Reader, some Card Samples, 2 Years License. The Developer Suite Enterprise Kit is also available on the Gemalto Web Store in the 'Kits & Software' section.

Once he receives the box and install the Suite, the End User will have instant access to the Evaluation Version. Then, Gemalto will contact the End User to help him with the License Activation Process.
