Easy to use
The Prox Development Kit is a set of hardware tools, software modules and
documentation that fulfills several needs:
It allows new comers to get familiar with the contactless technology and to make
simple PC-based demonstrations.
Then the Gemalto Prox technology performance will be evaluated and interoperability
with the target card will be demonstrated.
Finally the Kit will make the application software easy to develop and test
using the powerful Prox tools, such as the Prox Manager software and the
USB drivers for Windows 2000 and XP.
The Prox Development Kit is friendly to use and does not
require any particular experience in Radio Frequency.
Market standards
The Gemalto Prox technology is fully compliant with the ISO 14443 A and B
standard. T=CL protocol is handled directly by the reader. As a result,
the application software is dramatically simplified by the high level command
set A C language source code API and a PC/SC Windows driver are provided in the
Development Kit.
The
Prox readers also read and write the cards based on the Mifare® cards
family such as the Mifare Ultra Light, Classic 1 K / 4 K, Pro X, DESFire and
Smart MX.
It
is also compliant with the latest MasterCard, Visa and American Express
specifications.
The
Mifare Application Directory (MAD) provides a simple and fast way to access the
data related to different applications.
