Gemalto’s tachograph cards contributes to improved road safety in the European Union

From May 1, 2006, all new registered trucks and buses in the European Union must be fitted with digital tachograph.

The tachograph card is aimed essentially at recording professional drivers’ activities. The card developed by Gemalto represents the ideal solution for enforcing road safety. It also offers trucking and hauling companies new efficient services such as automated monthly activity log and payroll management.

France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Andorra, Denmark and the Slovak Republic have selected Sealys Tachograph,Gemalto’s card and some have also selected Coesys Issuance solutions including key management, data management, personalization and quality control.
