Mobile Roaming Services

Maximize roaming revenues with SIM/OTA-based traffic redirection and innovative roaming services

From traffic redirection solution to other roaming services
With roaming revenues representing 20 to 30% of their profits, mobile new operators face several challenges for their roaming subscribers: Deploying user-friendly solutions for traffic redirection with ease and efficiency and developing convenient solutions attracting new roaming

Efficient Traffic Redirection
Traffic redirection is a mandatory tool to ensure retention of outbound roamers on preferred partner networks. In order to be able to negotiate and optimize their International Outbound Tariffs (IOT), operators need to make sure that their subscribers are attached to the right preferred networks. This helps protect their revenues while offering the best quality of service for end-users. Today, as recommended by the GSM Association, the SIM card with the PLMN file is the key element for roaming management.

Acombined SIM, OTA & SS7 solution for optimized traffic steering
In an increasingly complex roaming environment, LinqUs Roaming Director is a two-level solution which enables to maintain control and optimize roaming activities. Combining real-time OTA updates of the PLMN file and batch campaigns with the SS7 network based roaming server. It allows operators to steer outbound roamers to preferred networks, dynamically, including mechanisms such as business rules.
Gemalto offers LinqUs Roaming Director as a complete end-to-end steering service or can integrate necessary modules with existing solutions.
This combined solution is also available in managed services from the Gemalto hosting center with no need of upfront investment or dedicated resources.
