Efficient Traffic Redirection

Traffic steering is a mandatory tool to ensure connection of outbound roamers on preferred partner networks. In order to be able to negotiate and optimize their IOT (Inter Operator Tariffs), Roaming Managers need to deploy effective traffic steering solutions with little or no impact for the subscriber. This helps protect their revenues while offering the best quality of service for end-users.

Roaming Director is a state-of the art traffic steering solution, combining subscriber detection on the fly, real-time updates of the preferred networks by SMS (Over The Air) and business logic with graphical interfaces for the Roaming manager. More..

A combined SIM, OTA & SS7 solution for optimized traffic steering.

Thanks to SS7 probes, Roaming Director can detect when a subscriber arrives abroad. It steers the subscriber to the preferred networks of the MNO. Thanks to an intuitive graphical interface, the Roaming Manager can set up precise market shares between preferred networks in each country.
Roaming Director monitors roaming traffic and measure the efficiency of the traffic redirection. Roaming Director is also available as a managed service operated from the Gemalto hosting center with no need of upfront investment or dedicated resources.

Dual IMSI is a complete solution including a SIM-based application, which manages two IMSIs for the subscriber and an off-the-shelf OTA service for the deployment and configuration of the applet.
The home IMSI is used in the subscriber’s home country, and when roaming to any country where the operator has a bilateral agreement in place.
The international IMSI is used when abroad for connection to a roaming hub.
Switching between the two is handled automatically by the application, depending on location.
