Personal Data Protection

Protect your revenue and increase customer loyalty with an easy to use personal data back-up solution. With the evolution of functional mobile equipment, your subscribers are able to store more and more information, from simple phone numbers to photos and other personal notes. Much of this is sensitive and often irreplaceable for the end-user.  This remote backup service allows them to save their data from the SIM over the air to a centralized, protected storage site.

Convergence - Open up your services to the PC world, securely and simply

Our offer for convergence is based on a USB (Universal Serial Bus) key with flash memory bundled with a standard UICC (Universal Integrated Circuit Card), which offers access to operator services from any PC. By inserting it into the PC’s USB port, the subscriber gains access to your communication applications including Voice over IP and Instant Messaging, as well as an attractive range of web services such as music download and on-line storage.

Gemalto is working with one of the world's leading mobile operators to bring this device to the end-user.  Click here to find out more...

SIMagine

Our worldwide mobile communication and Java CardTM Developer Contest

Sponsored by Gemalto, Samsung, Sun Microsystems and Mobile Operators, the ninth edition of the SIMagine Contest will reward the most pertinent projects in the field of wireless applications.  The contest is designed to challenge Java developers around the world to come up with innovative projects of Value Added Services for mobile operators.

Open to Start-Ups and Universities, the 2008 edition is strongly themed around two new technologies where the SIM Card can enable news services based on NFC and the Smart Card Web server (SCWS).

Click here to find out which finalists made the top 8 and will therefore be present at the Mobile World Congress to present their projects.
