Artificial intelligence: should we be worried?

As  artificial intelligence plays a bigger role in technology, Rumman Chowdhury, Global Lead for Responsible AI at Accenture, explains what questions we should be asking about its ethical deployment, and why it’s good that we’re asking them now

​Ensuring artificial intelligence (AI) is deployed ethically and safely is not just the responsibility of the technology sector. From better protection for whistleblowers through to governments leading the way on regulation and best practice, AI can create a positive and trusted digital space if stakeholders across society engage with the challenges – and opportunities – it creates.

And it's an environment that requires human input. Rumman Chowdhury, Global Lead for Responsible AI at Accenture, emphasizes the value of people and machines working in tandem so that the technology doesn't dictate the outcomes.
